About

Abby Hollander Levitt, MS, CCC-SLP (she/her) is a NYS licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with experience treating a diverse array of communication disorders and a particular passion for working with those affected by voice disorders. She believes in a compassionate, individualized approach to therapy, tailoring sessions to meet the needs and reach the goals of each client. In addition to a Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology, Abby holds a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts and has worked as a professional singer and musician for many years. In fact, Abby was a voice therapy patient at one time due to vocal fold polyps! Thanks to the excellent care she received, she recovered fully and devoted herself to helping others learn about and care for their voices.

Abby has worked for many years in early intervention and preschool settings, helping children with language disorders/delayed speaking develop their communication skills. Her expertise extends to children who don’t yet communicate verbally, those on the Autism spectrum, and children struggling with feeding due to oral-motor and/or sensory challenges. Abby finds it extremely rewarding to help families and caregivers develop tools to guide and support their children more successfully.

Abby has completed extensive training in voice care, including an internship at the Columbia University Center for Voice and Swallowing. She is certified in the Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT) for people with Parkinson’s disease, is a member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA), and she regularly attends professional trainings to expand her skillset and stay abreast of current research.

Abby is bilingual and provides services in English and Spanish.
